Volunteers

Information and resources for Vassar College volunteers

Vassar Clubs are classified according to the number of alums in the club area and the degree of geographic spread. International Clubs are grouped into their own category, in acknowledgement that their needs may vary based on differences in currencies, laws, languages, etc.

Large Clubs

Large Clubs are located in urban/densely packed areas with more than 750 alums or wider geographic regions with over 1,000 alums.  They typically host four to six programs each year.

Medium Clubs

Medium Clubs are located in areas with more than 500 alums. They typically host two to four programs each year.

Small Clubs

Small Clubs are located in markets with populations between 200 and 500 alums. They may also include historically active clubs with populations below 200 or with little activity in recent years. These clubs typically host one to three programs each year.

International Clubs

International Clubs are located in markets outside of the United States, and fall into this category independent of the size of the alum population. The number of events hosted by International Clubs should generally correspond to their market size (see above), but may vary depending on factors specific to their individual countries.
