Generation Vassar Overview
GENERATION VASSAR (GenVC) is a week-long volunteer-driven fundraising challenge in February. Classes will work towards goals to unlock larger challenge gifts for their class.
Simultaneously, Vassar College will join with student leaders to educate its student body about the importance of philanthropy to Vassar. As part of the education, sections of the iconic Thompson Memorial Library will be illuminated in Vassar colors as alum participation milestones are met, creating a powerful visual for Vassar’s youngest generation. Throughout the week, important educational messaging will be produced by both students and alums, and shared in an effort to unite a community in support of Vassar’s mission.
Rules of Engagement
- Alums may not give on behalf of other alums
- Classes are encouraged to create participation mini challenges early on
- Classes can have as many class agent volunteers as they want
